Pyrometer UPF IV-G

This series has been replaced by UPF V pyrometers.

The narrow-beam UPF IV-G radiation pyrometer with built-in galvanic isolation is a modernised version of the type UPF-IV pyrometer.   In more complex installations using the older version UPF IV pyrometer, is was necessary to use supply power with galvanic isolation.  With the new model IPF IV-G this issue is solved internally.  When considering that we were able to accomplish this without changing the overall dimensions of the pyrometer, electrical connections and output voltage waveform, the the new UPF IV-G can replace the older model without any additional modifications.  The benefits of the UPF IV-G pyrometer are appreciated by engineers in applications where there are issues with insufficient galvanic isolation on the analog inputs to a PLC.

The UPF IV-G pyrometer is designed for the non-contact measuring of molten and solid masses in metallurgy, forges, glassworks, coking plants, fireclay factories, hardening shops, wire works, chemical plants, engineering factories, and scientific laboratories. The temperature values can be processed by a programmable logic controller or a digital controller.

A pyrometer calibration certificate certifies accordance with national etalons corresponding to the international system of units (SI).

Notes:

  • When using different scanning distances that those listed, the diameter of the measuring point is always larger.
  • The presented reproducible accuracy applied to the upper-half of the range.

If necessary, these models can be supplied with modifications to various input voltages and/or different temperatures measuring ranges.
