Chain conveyer VR 5000 with a sorter of heated billets was made for company MSV Metal Studénka JSC. It is used for transport of heated billets from the gas – fired furnace to the forming machine. A 5-metre-long conveyer is equipped with a device for removing scale from the heated billet. The temperature of scaleless billet is measured by the pyrometer UPF IV-G. The conveyer is also equipped with a sorter of heated billets which does not allow the improperly heated billets (underheated or overheated) to move into the forming machine. The temperature of each billet and the time of measurement are displayed on OPLC and stored in its memory.
